Transforming Bun’s Outdated Websites into Modern, Conversion-Driven Platforms
Bun Holding is one of the largest franchisees of Albert Heijn supermarkets in the Netherlands. The company operates supermarkets, develops new construction projects, and manages an extensive real estate portfolio. "It might sound unusual, but it makes sense. When we build a new Albert Heijn, we can also construct and rent out apartments above it," says Bart van Dalen, Marketing & Communication Manager at Bun. Bun currently operates 26 stores across the Netherlands. When a company professionalizes offline, its online presence can't lag behind. Bun's corporate and recruitment websites were significantly outdated in terms of both design and technology. This prompted Bun to partner with Kiesling Digital. “We started with our own website: bun.nl” Bart continues. The website's CMS was outdated and difficult to use, making updates challenging. "We were dealing with old software, so we discussed our requirements with Kiesling Digital. Our website doesn't need to drive sales but rather serve as an online brochure showcasing our work, with our projects playing a central role. Cristian's team created a functional design, which served as the foundation for the graphic design and technical implementation. Our new corporate identity was integrated right away." The result? “The website is completely up-to-date and extremely easy to navigate. The speed has greatly improved, and adding projects is now effortless because the site is much more user-friendly.”
The positive experience with Kiesling Digital led Bun to approach them again for their recruitment websites: werkenbijbun.nl and werkah.nl. “Job seekers need to land on these sites, so it's crucial that they effectively reach the intended audience. Kiesling Digital conducted a customer journey analysis to ensure the sites would resonate with our target group.” Additionally, Kiesling Digital integrated these sites with Albert Heijn's platform. Vacancies posted there automatically appear on werkah.nl. "This saves our HR team significant time. Our websites now convert well and are easy to manage."
